This kite is able to transform into a garment modeled loosely after dragon robes worn by Chinese emperors said to be "Sons of Heaven". Sewn entirely out of fabrics donated or already within the my collection, the piece is a refashioning of existing and unwanted material to create a new mandate of heaven. Designed to be worn by two people at once, it offers a simple but direct challenge to the notion of a single ruler blessed by gods. Here, power must be shared, redistributed, and negotiated between two.
