The kite is made from patterns for a silk raglan-sleeve romper fit to the artist’s body.
The silk is first treated with a cyanotype solution before being sewn in subdued lighting.
The garment was then worn and walked outside.
The garment was then washed, allowing exposed parts of the body to become blue.
The garment is then deconstructed and reconfigured into a kite.
The kite is then flown.
